Parker Growth Lab ("Parker Growth Lab," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of every family we serve. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit our website, enroll a child in our programs, or otherwise interact with us.

Because our programs serve children, we take special care to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) where applicable, and other applicable privacy laws. By using our website or enrolling a child, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you visit our website, fill out a form, or enroll a child, we may collect:

  • Parent or guardian information: full name, email address, phone number, billing address
  • Student information: first name, age or grade level, program selection, learning preferences (provided by the parent only)
  • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe; we do not store full payment card details on our servers
  • Communications: messages you send through contact forms, email, or other channels
  • Survey responses and feedback, if you choose to provide them

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect limited technical information, including IP address (anonymized), browser type and version, device type, pages visited, and referring website. We use privacy-first analytics tools that do not track individuals across the web or build advertising profiles.

1.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a minimal number of cookies limited to essential cookies (required for security and session management) and preference cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to provide our programs and services, process enrollments and payments, communicate with parents about programs and student progress, improve our curriculum, send transactional emails, and comply with legal obligations. Marketing emails are sent only with your consent and include an unsubscribe link.

3. Children's Privacy and COPPA Compliance

3.1 What This Means in Practice

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All student information is provided by a parent or guardian during enrollment. Parents must affirmatively consent to the collection of their child's information. We collect only the minimum information necessary and never sell, rent, or trade information about children.

3.2 Parental Rights Under COPPA

As a parent or legal guardian, you have the right to review, access, correct, and request deletion of your child's personal information. Contact us at info@parkergrowthlab.org to exercise these rights. We will verify your identity before fulfilling any request.

3.3 FERPA

If Parker Growth Lab partners with a school or school district, student educational records may be subject to FERPA. In those cases, we act as a school official with a legitimate educational interest.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share information only with trusted service providers (Stripe, Resend, Vercel, Supabase, Plausible Analytics) who are contractually bound to protect it, and only as required by law or with your express consent.

5. How We Protect Information

We use industry-standard security including TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit, encryption at rest, strict access controls, two-factor authentication on administrative accounts, regular security audits, secure password hashing (bcrypt or Argon2), rate limiting and CAPTCHA on forms, and automated daily database backups.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Enrolled family records: retained for the duration of enrollment plus 3 years
  • Inactive leads: retained for 2 years from last contact
  • Payment records: retained as required by law (typically 7 years)
  • Marketing email lists: retained until you unsubscribe

You may request deletion of your information at any time. We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days unless a legal obligation requires longer retention.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under CCPA, GDPR, and similar laws — including the right to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). Contact us at info@parkergrowthlab.org to exercise any right.

8. Marketing Communications

Every marketing email includes a clear unsubscribe link. Transactional emails (receipts, schedule updates, account notifications) are not affected by marketing unsubscribes.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

10. International Users

Parker Growth Lab is based in the United States. Information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify enrolled families by email and update the "Last Updated" date above.
